You are the only support your client has, so you carry all of it, and you can only carry as much as you can bill. JobSearchTeams lets you coach the client's team instead of coaching the client alone. Same hours from you. Far more happening between them.
Does this sound like your practice
There is no version of the hourly model where this changes. To earn more you work more, and you already know exactly how many good hours you have in a week.
You give someone a great hour, then wait two weeks to find out that nothing happened. You are coaching in snapshots and guessing at everything in between.
The resume read, the pep talk, the accountability, the introduction you cannot actually make because you do not work in their industry. All of it lands on you, including the parts you are not the right person for.
coach practitioners are now working worldwide, 15% more than two years ago, in an industry worth $5.34 billion. The practices that grow from here will not be the ones billing more hours. International Coaching Federation, 2025 Global Coaching Study.
What almost nobody does
Your client already knows people. A former manager who would vouch for her. A friend in the industry she is trying to break into. A peer who would read a cover letter honestly. Right now every one of those people is idle, and you are personally absorbing work that they would happily do for free and, in some cases, do better than you can.
Put them on a team. You facilitate. They do the introductions, the document reviews, the between-session accountability. Your hour a week stops being the only hour your client gets, and your reach stops being capped by your own calendar.
Run five teams instead of five clients. You are still the coach. You are just no longer the entire supply of help.
"Tell less and ask more. Your advice is not as good as you think it is." Michael Bungay Stanier, The Coaching Habit
Run several teams from one dashboard, each with its own phases and its own advisors doing the legwork. Cohorts let you take a whole group through a program at once.
Everyone checks in before the meeting. You see who is struggling and who asked for the hot seat before you open your laptop, and the agenda is already drafted from where the team actually is.
Introductions, industry reads, resume verdicts. Tasks go out by role, so the people who can actually make the call are the ones making it. You do the coaching.
"Leadership is about recognizing that there's greatness in everyone, and your job is to create an environment where that greatness can emerge." Coach Bill Campbell
One thing I want to say plainly, because you have every right to be suspicious of a tool with AI in it. We built an AI panel of career advisors early on, and it was supposed to be the clever part. It felt dead and empty, so we deleted it. The AI here drafts your agendas and your starter tasks. It does not coach, and it is not coming for your job.
This is early. You would be one of the first coaches running a practice on it, which means some of it will annoy you. Tell me which parts and I will fix them.
Nathan Rohm, founder
Pick the client who is stuck, ask them for three people who would show up for them, and coach the room instead of the person. You will know inside a month whether this changes your practice.
Run my first teamYou would be one of the first coaches here, and what you tell me shapes what this becomes.
